Bertolt Brecht: Mother Courage and Her Children (1961) Berliner Ensembles.
ABSTRACT: This study aims to understand the place of Realism in the History of Theatre, as aesthetic articulated initially a political project and outdated by the vanguards. In the succession of the cases, the avant-garde movements are consolidated by the affirmation of differences from predecessor due to the transformation of the modern world. Exposing an inventory of propositions about the different movements from Margot Berthold, and in front of the multitude of projects that make up the vanguards, it follows that which validates the same opposition to Realism (despite the obvious differences each other) is a speech that implies a new notion of reality, by passing from the testimony of a truth to be studied through theater (in Realism) to the veiling to be broken (in the case of the vanguards).
